“Surely, of all the wonders of the world, the horizon is the greatest.” – Freya Stark

I’m a mother of two teenagers (well, one teen and one almost teen), a lifelong traveler, and the person in our family who thought a round-the-world trip with teens sounded like a good idea.

Here, I share what it’s really like to travel internationally and long-term with teens. The wins, the challenges, and the moments that make it all worth it. My goal isn’t to sell perfection or wanderlust clichés, but to offer honest insights, some practical guidance, and a little encouragement for anyone wondering if they could do something similar (pro tip: you can!).

You don’t need to travel far or forever to have an adventure. You just need curiosity, flexibility, a dash of patience (remember those eyerolls!) and a willingness to say yes before you feel completely ready.

I also guarantee that the posts you find here are real life experiences by a real family and not a GenAI facsimile.
